Sweets - YES or NO?
Parents - this one is for you.
Last night, I got home from University to find my husband in a furious rage - apparently the kids had been winding him up the whole evening and only stopped when I walked through the door. To me, they seemed fine and I didn't see the problem, yet I don't know how they were acting before I arrived.
Anyway, he calmed down after tea and the kids started asking me to go to the shop and get them some sweets. This would usually be fine with me had my husband not been in such a bad mood as a result of their behaviour when I got home. I didn't really know what to do - should I have run them to the shop for some sweets or should I have said no because they had been behaving badly when I was out of the house? What would you have done in my situation?
I did actually take them to get some retro sweets after about an hour of them nagging me - but my husband was far from happy.
Next time I come home to a similar situation, I think I will tell them that they're getting no sweets until they begin behaving better for their father.

No Sweets - Sorry Kids
No sweets for misbehaving - do not back down from your stand either or they will only play up more.
